A Real Life Speedbump

When I decided to start my blog, I didn't know what to call myself. The obvious answer would be to go by my name but I thought going as something else would help me to transform into my blogger personality. Many of my nicknames came to mind but only one made sense...speedbump. As weird as it sounds, this is one of the first nicknames I can remember being called.

It all started as a little girl, having an older brother who I was always trying to catch up to. When we lived in California, my brother and his friends would ride around on their tricyles, speeding around in circles. I was too young to play and was left on the ground, crawling after them. Well, one day they decided it would be fun to sort of "run over" me. And that was where my nickname began...a real life speedbump.

At this moment in my life, a speed bump holds many meanings. It's not just a cute nickname but represents where I am in my life. I've graduated from University and traveled the world, but now I am deciding what adventures wait ahead for me.
